Aegis has three gates. Each one watches one of the ways a server gets raided, and each one tells your staff what it did and why.
Raid Gate
It learns what’s normal and what’s not.
A raid is not a number of joins. Four friends joining together is a good day in a small server, and four hundred users joining is normal in a large one. Raid Gate checks each server against its join rate, then Brilliant checks who is joining.

A raidServer locked
Eight minutes, one bar for every ten secondsIn a small server almost nobody joins from one minute to the next, so the fixed limit does the work.
Two more gates
Trouble doesn't just come from the front door.
When Raid Gate locksdown a server, it can pause invites, slow the busiest channels and quarantine the accounts involved. Once the lockdown ends, Brilliant puts things back to how they were. The other two gates monitor users already chatting and the users who will join.
Staff Gate
Catches a compromised account.
A stolen staff account or a rogue bot looks the same every time: bans, kicks and deleted channels, far faster than a person moderates. Staff Gate recognises the pattern and steps in before the damage spreads.

Entry Gate
Meets new members at the door.
Brand new or suspicious accounts can be held until a staff member verifies them or kicks them.

Entry Gate is off until you turn it on. Once it is on, an account under seven days old waits for a staff member, and the account age is modifiable.
