AutoMod
It's autonomousand it knows what to do.
Matching-word filters punish the wrong users. Brilliant can determine what a message means autonomously, making sure normal day-to-day conversations remain, while a threat? It's removed before it can be interacted with.

sent you Nitro, https://discord.gift/kR7mQ2xT9wEp
Left alone. It looks like bait, but this is Discord’s own address for Nitro gifts.
claim your gift https://discord.com.gift-claim.net
Removed, and the account is banned. Discord’s name is sitting in front of someone else’s address.
careful, https://discord.com.gift-claim.net is a scam
Left alone. It is the same address, posted by a moderator to warn people. Staff are only stopped for a real threat such as a malware link.
trade offer https://steamcornmunity.com/tradeoffer
Removed, and the account is banned. The address says cornmunity, with an r and an n standing in for the m.
Chào mọi người, hôm nay thế nào?
Left alone. Accents are part of the language. They are not an attempt to make text unreadable.
Repeating violations
A score that remembers, then forgets.
With Brilliant, admins can choose what happens when a rule is violated. Breaking a rule adds points to that user’s score, and the score drops over time. No single low-level action will ban a user, however, users who keep breaking rules are timed out, kicked or even during extreme cases of abuse, banned.
Coverage
What Brilliant watches for.
Brilliant has fourteen rules. Each one adds a set number of points. Admins can turn any of them off or on at anytime.
Principles
Fair by default.
A moderation tool manages more than just users, so these rules are built in and are not settings.
